(FeaturedNews) – One does not have to listen to Joe Biden for very long to know that he does not always think things through, which has been true throughout the majority of his political career. Here are three of Biden’s political decisions that have seriously missed the mark.
Racist Remarks
During a year when it seems as though almost anything can be considered racist, Biden’s multiple racist slips over the years aren’t winning him many prizes. From commenting that desegregation of schools would cause his children to cause his children to “grow up in a racial jungle” in 1977 to calling Barack Obama “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy” in 2007 to telling a group of African American and Latino journalists that “unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things” in 2020, his history of racist remarks has caused many to question where he is actually coming from on modern racial policies.
Using Tragedy for Political Gain
Biden’s decision to capitalize on his son’s death in 2016 struck a nerve among voters. His attempts to win the public’s favor by convincing them that he was running for his dying son, who wanted to keep the Clintons from taking the White House back, had the opposite effect of what he intended.
Tanking the Economy
Instead of helping people get back to work after the shutdowns of 2020, Biden seems to be doing everything he can to keep people out of work. From creating endless mandates that are pushing people out of the workforce to keeping extra unemployment funds going long enough to discourage people from even trying to get new jobs, Biden has created staffing shortages, empty shelves, and a high level of reliance on government funds instead of income from employment across the country. Coupled with significant inflation that has made just about every product cost noticeably more than it did a year ago, the country’s chance at a better economy by the end of Biden’s term does not look promising.
2022 is a new year. Hopefully Joe Biden will take advantage of that fresh start instead of repeating these mistakes and causing the US even more embarrassment.
