The Lincoln Project was quick to respond to the announcement made by Former President Donald Trump that he would be running for the White House again. During an event in his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump launched his 2024 presidential campaign. In response, the Lincoln project put out a new ad saying that viewers would need to choose between “America or Trump.”
The “Never Trump” super PAC is being led by many current and former Republicans. They have been the ones to launch some of the most effective criticisms and attacks on Trump during the 2020 election cycle. The group describes itself as a “leading pro-democracy organization.” In a tweet on Tuesday, they said they would be doing everything in their power to stop Trump. This tweet and their ad quickly reached over 200,000 views.
The group warned that they had previously said that the day would come when Trump would announce his candidacy. They added that they were fully intent on continuing the fight to stop him from being successful. Their one-minute long ad starts with clips of Trump and a narrator in the background. The narrator says that Trump has returned and he will be looking to take back the White House and destroy America. It then continues by asking who is going to be stopping him.
The ad continues asking a number of questions, even questioning whether the law could stop Trump, but noting that Trump has always ignored the law. It concludes that only the American people have the power to choose their country over one single party and to fight in order to stop Trump from destroying the country.
