(FeaturedNews.com) – On Tuesday, Politico put out a report where it was alleged that President Joe Biden had told someone close to him earlier this month that he believes his re-election campaign is to blame for the conviction of his son Hunter Biden. Joe Biden is also reportedly concerned about the possibility that his political career was causing his family to be in the spotlight.
Reportedly, Biden had said that if it weren’t for his 2024 presidential campaign, Hunter would have received a plea deal, however, the plea deal that Hunter Biden had been offered had fallen apart in July 2023.
On Tuesday, a Delaware Jury found that Hunter Biden is guilty on all three counts, which could mean that he faces up to 25 years in prison. However, it is unlikely that he will receive the maximum penalty for this.
Biden had been informed of his son’s conviction during the preparation of his remarks on gun violence which had prompted him to return to his Wilmington, Delaware home where he could be with his son. The President has also stated in the past that he would not pardon his son.
Prior to the end of the trial, Biden had an interview with ABC News’ David Muir in Normandy, France, where he had stated that he was going to be accepting the verdict in the case whatever it was, and that he would not be pardoning his son.
Hunter Biden was found guilty of having made a false statement during the purchase of a firearm, as well as for possession of a firearm by a person who is known to be addicted to controlled substances.
