(FeaturedNews.com) – Tom Davis, a well-known dog trainer, recently discussed the situation surrounding Commander, President Biden’s German Shepherd, and the multiple incidents where he has bit White House personnel.
Davis argued that the dog’s behavior would need to be corrected swiftly and that the behavior exhibited by the Commander showed a lack of “structure” and “boundaries.” He further pointed out that the dog clearly did not have a leader.
Davis, who has a successful dog-training podcast known as “No Bad Dogs,” specializes in reducing aggressiveness in canines. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, he criticized the White House for not taking action to handle Biden’s German Shepherd especially as Commander has been involved in 11 biting incidents since he first entered the White House in 2021.
As the nationally renowned trainer argued, it was necessary to intervene so that the animal could be saved. He even stated that if called in he would immediately show up to the White House in order to help with Commander.
Davis normally works with aggressive dogs with behavioral issues in his New York facility. While assessing Commander’s behavior he noted that the dog had been “put into an unfair environment” that did not help with his success.
He added that this was a situation he was familiar with as he had experienced it while working at Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s governor mansion during his time in office. As he pointed out, there is a lot of movement and chaos, and dogs that lack direction and leadership are likely to be fearful and escalate their protection of the house.
