(FeaturedNews.com) – NBC News Monica Alba reported on Sunday evening that the President was “frustrated” with those aides of his who, when packing up his office, had accidentally packed classified documents with his personal documents.
The National Archives was not aware of the less than two dozen documents that remained in Biden’s possession after he left the office of vice President. This is a key difference in the Biden classified documents case vs. the Donald Trump classified document case.
In Donald Trump’s case, there were more than 13,000 documents that he had packed after leaving office and taken to his Mar-a-Lago home. More importantly, the National Archives had made attempts to get those documents back, but Trump refused to hand over many of these documents even after the official request had come in. This is what led to the FBI raiding Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in August 2022 in an effort to gather all of the documents. Among the thousands of recovered documents, hundreds of them had classified markings on them.
Following the discovery of the documents in Trump’s home, Trump tried to claim that the General Services Administration (GSA) had been responsible for storing all of the documents in his house. However, White House staff had signed off before the documents had been transported. According to a Bloomberg report, the documents to be taken to Mar-a-Lago had in fact been packed before the movers went to pick them up.
If, like Trump, Biden had aides pack up his staff, then it would only make sense for him to be upset over them mistakenly packing classified documents among his personal documents.
Both cases are now being investigated by the Department of Justice.
