(FeaturedNews.com) – In a new interview, President Biden told ABC News’s David Muir that he had “other things to finish” before launching a “full-blown” 2024 presidential campaign.

When asked about whether he was planning on running in the 2024 election, Biden responded by joking that he had been told that someone had interviewed his wife and that he needed to “call her and find out.” He then proceeded to say that it had always been his intention to run for a second term and that there were too many things that he needed to finish before he started a reelection campaign.

President Biden has always stated that he intends to run for reelection, and last week first lady Jill Biden indicated that her husband had decided to follow through with that plan. As she noted during her trip to Kenya, Biden “says he’s not done.”

President Biden continued in his interview with ABC News saying that he means it and that there are many things that he needs to finish before he can start a “full-blown campaign.” While Biden has not formally announced his plans for 2024, both the first lady and Biden’s former chief of staff, Ron Klain, has recently hinted that Biden is going to be making an announcement soon.

Last week, progressive Marianne Williamson was the first person to enter the Democratic primary against Biden. On the Republican side, both former President Trump and his former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley have launched presidential campaigns for 2024.
