(FeaturedNews.com) – On Monday, President Biden made a joke about his memory during a speech in Washington, D.C.
While delivering at the National Association of Counties Legislative Conference, Biden referred to the bipartisan infrastructure law, which he claimed has been instrumental in allowing his administration to make the largest climate change investment in the world.
He proceeded to say that following hurricanes, floods, and wildfires they would unite to rebuild following extreme weather. As he pointed out, the Biden administration was helping with the installation of rooftop solar panels and the creation of an electric vehicle charging stations nation network which would help revitalize communities that previously had to suffer from pollution.
Biden in his speech said that they were making a transition towards clean energy to secure the American future. He then proceeded to make a joke about how he has been around for a long time, while he does not look at it, he does remember that. This led to laughter and Biden proceeded with a joke near the end of his speech about having forgotten something, before making his final comment.
Special Counsel Robert Hur in his report on Biden’s mishandling classified documents investigation argued that the reason why he was not recommending charges to be filed against the President is because Biden would present himself to the jury as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” He proceeded to refer to a number of examples where the president’s memory had lapsed, including when he was asked about the date of his son Beau’s death.
