Biden’s Latest Mistake Was Truly Devastating
During the recent White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in Washington, President Biden seemingly forgot about the death of Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski. During the event, he repeatedly called her name while he was on stage.
Walorski was one of the key four lawmakers who pushed for this conference to take place last year. However, she lost her life in a tragic car accident in early August. Two of her staffers also died in the same accident.
The president during his address called out to her. At the event, he began by thanking all those who worked on this bipartisan event, including Senator Braun and Senator Booker. Biden then proceeded to ask where “Jackie” was.
A tribute to Walorski was already scheduled during the event.
Walorski, 58, her communications director Emma Thomson, 28, and district director Zachary Potts, 27, were all killed in the car accident that took place on Aug. 3. Police have confirmed that the driver of the car, Potts, had turned into oncoming traffic.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigation showed that it was Walorski’s vehicle that had entered the wrong lane and had caused the collision. The other occupant of the car they crushed, Edith Schmucker, 56, also died because of the accident.
