( – Hunter Biden is facing three felony tax charges in California which are connected to his incorrect tax returns and tax evasion attempts. This is the second indictment for Hunter Biden resulting from the investigations of special counsel David Weiss. Apart from the three felony charges, Biden is also facing six misdemeanor charges for having failed to pay the necessary taxes between 2016 and 2019.

In a press release on Thursday, the prosecutors stated that Hunter Biden had run a scheme over four years, and that during this time he did not pay more than $1.4 million in taxes for the years between 2016 and 2019. He had also filed false returns in the year 2018 when he had evaded the tax assessment.

Weiss’s office has also claimed that Biden had withdrawn and spent millions of dollars from his company, by subverting the tax withholding process. This allowed him to continue spending millions of dollars on his lifestyle instead of paying his tax bills.

According to the court documents, Biden had also failed to pay back taxes from 2015 to 2018, and during that time he had not paid his taxes from 2016 to 2019 on time. This is despite the fact that often he would have the funds to either cover the entirety or a part of his taxes. As the court filings note, between 2016 and 2020, Hunter Biden had made $7 million.

However, prosecutors claim that the money made by the defendant during that time had been spent on cars, properties, escorts, drugs, and other personal expenses, rather than being used for his taxes.
