Big Tech Is Reportedly Profiting From Illegal Gold Mining, Documents Show

Gold Mining Conspiracy – Big Tech IMPLICATED!

(FeaturedNews.com) – Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon stand accused of purchasing illegally mined gold from Brazil. Reporter Brasil released the results of an investigation on July 25, which uncovered the companies’ involvement. The Big Tech giants allegedly used the ill-gotten goods in smartphones, computers, and other electronic devices.

All four companies have policies to stop illicit metal purchases, which should have prevented this problem from occurring. Also, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is supposed to have a system to catch such activities.

The issue may be that purchasers did not buy directly from the Amazonian region and instead went through suppliers. One company the Big Tech giants worked with was Chimet, an Italian refiner under investigation in Brazil for obtaining illegal metals from the Kayapo indigenous territory. Another is Marsam Refinadora, a firm from Sao Paulo accused of trading unlawful gold.

The reason for such scrutiny is that the miners obtaining these substances allegedly leave behind toxic materials in rivers, fight with natives, and trespass to get the gold. As a result, they are causing irreparable damage to the rainforests and leaving lasting devastation.

Larissa Rodrigues, an author from the think tank Instituto Escolhas, explained anyone buying gold from the area is well aware the metal is most likely not from legal sources.

Making matters worse, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro supports the controversial mining efforts, creating a recent surge in incidents.
