Bin Laden's Replacement Killed in Drone Strike

He’s DEAD – America Is Responsible!

(FeaturedNews.com) – The CIA oversaw a mission on July 31 targeting al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. After careful recognizance during the past few months, an Air Force drone took out the terrorist on the balcony of a safe house where he had been staying. Officials noted the extremist’s death came without any harm to civilians.

Al-Zawahiri has long been on the United States’ radar and was on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist list. He was a suspect in the late-1990s embassy bombings in Africa and one of the architects of the 9/11 attacks who assumed leadership of al Qaeda after Osama bin Laden’s death in 2011. President Joe Biden noted the leader had recently been creating propaganda pushing for violence against America and its allies.

The CIA operation worked for months to track down al-Zawahiri. Officials surveilled his family to figure out where he was staying in Afghanistan. Because the president was vehement that carrying out the mission would not injure or kill any innocent people nearby, including the terrorist’s family, the team carefully studied the safe house to ensure a drone could strike without harming structural integrity or hurting anyone else inside.

After the attack, Biden declared the operation a “success.” It was a much-needed victory for the administration as the first anniversary of the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan approaches.
