UNBELIEVABLE Boating Accident – What Are the Odds?!
News footage was taken from a 19-foot boat captured on camera by a wild water-breaching whale on July 25, 2022. The incident has been going viral since then.
The footage was taken off the coast of Massachusetts in the Plymouth area from one of the vessels there. The video shows the exact moment that the whale, which appears to be a humpback whale, breached the water and landed on the boat. This incident takes a tremendous amount of unluckiness to occur, which is something commented on by all reporters and witnesses.
Chad Hunter, the Plymouth Harbourmaster, also spoke in an interview about the rareness of such an occurrence. According to the reports coming from the area, there were no injuries caused by the temporary clash of the whale and boat. Even the boat sustained a few minor injuries in the bow, but nothing horrible. All things considered, this might be one of the best possible outcomes for a situation such as this.
A WCVB report also said that whales are regularly spotted in the area. It is unclear whether whales reside in the area or if it is a common crossing, but in any case, some could argue that technically the ocean is their habitat, not ours.
