(FeaturedNews.com) – Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not yet made any statements regarding John Durham’s recent report which showed that the Department of Justice and FBI had launched the Trump-Russia probe without having sufficient evidence to support launching an investigation.
In the past week, Fox News Digital has contacted Pelosi’s office for comments on the report multiple times, but the former Speaker has not yet issued a statement about it. The report specifically found that the Justice Department and FBI had both failed to abide by their mission of staying true to the law during the initial launch of the investigation, which has been labeled, “Crossfire Hurricane.”
Pelosi’s office has also not issued any comments addressing the Speaker’s prior statements regarding Trump colluding with Russia back in 2016. More specifically, in July of 2017, Pelosi had stated that they had seen “cold hard evidence” that the Trump campaign and the Trump family had ties to Russia, and had colluded with the country in 2016. This statement was made following the news that Donald Trump Jr. had met with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in that same year. The meeting led to the Mueller investigation, which did not result in any charges being filed.
In May of Trump’s election year, Pelosi had also taken to Twitter to assert that the election had been “hijacked.” She then went on to push then-Speaker of the House Paul Ryan to create a commission that would look into the role of the Trump campaign in assisting Russia to “assault on our democracy.”
