(FeaturedNews.com) – President Joe Biden is not the only person to have recently found in his possession classified documents.

According to a recent report, former Vice President Mike Pence informed Congress on Tuesday that there were documents with classified markings found in his Carmel, Indiana home on Jan. 16. According to the report, these documents all date back to his time serving as vice president in the Trump administration.

Pence’s team started searching throughout Pence’s home in Indiana and his private office in his political advocacy group, Advancing American Freedom, after it was revealed that classified documents had been found in Biden’s office at the Penn Biden Center think tank and in his Wilmington, Delaware, home.

Pence’s team has stated that the National Archives were informed on Jan. 18 about the classified documents that had been found within two boxes. There were reportedly two move boxes containing vice presidential papers found in Pence’s possession. Following standard procedure, the FBI was also informed of the discovery.

Greg Jacob, Pence’s attorney, wrote to Acting Director Kate Dillon McClure of the White House Liaison Division National Archives and Records Administration informing her of the documents with classified markings that had been found. Following the discovery of the documents, they had been put into a safe until they could be collected.

The documents were collected on Jan. 19, a day after the National Archives had been informed, and three days since they had been found. The documents were collected by the FBI. At the time Pence was in Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life.
