(FeaturedNews.com) – A new investigative report has revealed that one of the country’s most prestigious STEM schools has received more than $1 million in funding from communist Chinese-affiliated organizations.
The investigation was conducted by Parents Defending Education, a parent’s rights organization, which found that Thomas Jefferson High School in Fairfax County, Virginia has received over $1 million in funding since 2014 from Chinese sources.
The STEM-focused public school is ranked as one of the top high schools in the country and has now been determined to have gathered funding from three Chinese-affiliated groups since 2014. These include Shirble HK, Tsinghua University (Beijing), and the Ameson Foundation through its “Thomas Jefferson Partnership Fund” (TJPF).
The list of TJPF’s campaign donor list was given to the Parents Defending Education organization recently. In the records, it was clear what gifts and pledges had been given to the Campaign since its 2013 campaign launch. The report also added that the campaign was a way for the school to receive the necessary money in order to renovate the school and accommodate the school’s needs.
According to the list, each one of the three Chinese-linked groups had donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the campaign. Parents Defending Education in their report also covered how the organizations were connected to China.
