(FeaturedNews.com) – On Tuesday the Democratic party was mocked after sharing a photo on their official X account of President Biden in a photo they believed made him appear “cool.” In an attempt to make a pop culture reference by sharing a line from the 2004 film “Mean Girls” starring Lindsay Lohan, they posted a photo of Biden in front of the White House with his aviator sunglasses on.
The account notably quoted “President @JoeBiden isn’t a regular president—he’s a cool president. #MeanGirlsDay.” The photo was also posted on October 3, which is widely considered “Mean Girls Day” because of an iconic line where Lindsay Lohan’s character is asked the date by her crush only to reply “It’s October 3rd.”
Social media users were quick to mock the post and did not appear to be particularly impressed at the Democratic Party’s attempt to mesh pop culture references with the President.
Ryan Bomberger, a pro-life activist, specifically criticized the account for the post stating that there was “nothing regular about this nonsense.”
Similarly, Virginia Kruta from the Daily Wire stated that being cool and being funny is similar in that it does not work if you need to inform others that you.
The Republican Party’s official X account also joined the mockery by posting a GIF of Biden as he tripped while getting up the Air Force One stairs.
Others like Steve Guest, Sen. Ted Cruz’s former communications staffer found the post “pathetic” and Jake Schneider, the GOP rapid response director commented that it was “highly cringe.”
