(FeaturedNews.com) – Next month, 64-year-old John Munro from South Carolina is going to be appearing in court for the first time after he faced accusations of having slapped a teenage hostess at a Walt Disney World Resort restaurant three times. The incident occurred while Munro was under the influence.

In November, the 19-year-old hostess had refused to seat the man as he had not followed the dress code of the restaurant. This prompted the man to react by slapping her. He was later arrested and charged with battery following the altercation.

Munro is well aware of the requirements of luxury hotels as he had previously been the Sea Pines Resort Hilton Head Vice President of Hospitality, Sales, and Marketing. The resort’s spokesperson Karen Moraghan pointed out that Munro is no longer employed by The Sea Pines Resort. She further confirmed that the man had been placed on administrative leave as this matter was being reviewed.

A preliminary investigation revealed that just before 7:30 p.m. The arrest records specifically note that Munro had not been dressed in accordance with the dress code of the restaurant as he was wearing a T-shirt and swim shorts. However, Cítricos’ website notes that swimwear is not permitted and that guests need to dress appropriately.

The hostess had informed Munro that he was not allowed to sit at the restaurant to dine with his family, however, Munro maintained that he would wait with the group until they were seated. However, as the hostess took the group to their seats, Munto escalated the situation as the hostess maintained that he was not allowed to sit.
