(FeaturedNews.com) – Less than 24 hours after his first State of the Union Address (SOTU), President Joe Biden took to the stage in Wisconsin to tout his signature infrastructure bill. Using much of the material from SOTU, Biden expanded on his criticism of the occupation of sovereign Ukraine, suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin might have felt empowered by the events of January 6, 2021.
During his speech, Biden also repeated a long-debunked rumor popular to the Left that five Capitol Police officers were killed on January 6th. The president’s remarks came as an analogy, asking the crowd how Americans would have felt had the same thing happened to British or Italian Parliaments or the German Bundestag.
Biden falsely suggests Capitol rioters killed FIVE cops as he says Putin's actions were inspired by January 6 because Russian president thought he could divide the West https://t.co/BXGc3UnodY via @MailOnline

Unfortunately, Biden’s comments aren’t truthful. According to fact-checkers, nine deaths are attributed to January 6, and only two of them occurred that day. Factcheck.org notes that their list of associated fatalities is in response to a statement attributed to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Of those fatalities, one man died of a heart attack shortly before the Capitol was breached. Ashli Babbitt, who was shot by a Capitol Police officer, is the other. Of the five police officers on AOC’s list, none died on January 6.
