(FeaturedNews.com) – After two years of living with the COVID-19 virus, most people are ready to get back to normal. As restrictions begin lifting all over the country, White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci is warning Americans not to get too comfortable. He implored citizens to continue being cautious because the virus is never going away.
On April 10, Fauci appeared on ABC’s “This Week” with host Jonathan Karl. The doctor pointed out a recent increase in cases, which he said is likely due to the reduction or elimination of many of the protocols that were in place when the pandemic was in full swing.
Dr. Anthony Fauci says Americans should continue assessing risk for themselves as COVID-19 cases rise.
“We don't want to pooh-pooh getting infected. I think people sometimes say, ‘Well, it's OK to get infected.’ No, it's not.” https://t.co/zflprqby1f pic.twitter.com/BGC5Z9fr2A

He stated people should continue assessing their COVID-19 risks, saying it will be a personal choice when it comes to taking protective measures. Fauci also urged people planning large events to consider current guidelines and trends to determine protocols.
Above all, he pushed the vaccine as the best way to mitigate risk and live with the virus. The doctor explained getting infected isn’t a risk worth taking because of the potential serious side effects.
The doctor’s words have a significant impact given he has been the leading voice of the pandemic. Do you think Fauci is fear-mongering, or does COVID-19 still pose a serious risk?
