(FeaturedNews.com) – Police in Fort Lauderdale reported that the woman who drove her silver sedan through a fence and into a swimming pool was unharmed after a good Samaritan assisted her. The woman’s car was completely submerged.
T.J. Yarborough was in the area on Tuesday afternoon when the accident took place. As he recalled, he immediately took action to help assist the driver in the car that was being submerged. Yarborough revealed to WSVN-TV that he was on his way to his house to eat his lunch when the car accident occurred. He proceeded to say that the girl behind the wheel was young and she was shocked by what had occurred. Still, she gathered her phone from her purse as the water was rising.
The car door was not opening, but the windows were still functional and the girl could open them. This is how they managed to get the girl to climb out of her window and Yarborough assisted her in reaching the other side.
The car was lifted from the pool with a crane, many camera crews were at the scene to capture the moment. The pool was not in use at the time of the accident, which helped ensure that no one was injured as a result of the car crash. This was also corroborated by the police forces that responded to the scene.
Yarborough said about the car driver that she was shocked by the incident but that she was overall doing well and she was safe.
