(FeaturedNews.com) – Former White House trade adviser during the Trump administration, Peter Navarro, has warned that the allegations that the Democrats have been making targeting former President Donald Trump could lead to a second civil war.
In a video that was published on Substack, Navarro pointed out that in a November 2022 survey from the University of Notre Dame’s Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy, it was found that approximately half of Republicans and over a third of Democrats believed that the country was close to a civil war.
Navarro, who is one of Trump’s allies, pointed out that if there was the possibility of a civil war breaking out, it would be because the Democrats have weaponized the federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, against former President Donald Trump. He further warned that these actions were going to cause a backlash if Trump ended up winning the presidential election in 2024.
Many key Republican figures have stated that the federal investigation into Trump has been politically motivated. This includes the case of his alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House in 2021 which has led to him facing 37 charges. Special Counsel Jack Smith also recently sent Trump a target letter in connection to the January 6 investigation, which likely means that Trump is going to be facing another indictment in that case.
Republicans have pushed the idea that these cases are politically motivated.
