(FeaturedNews.com) – On Wednesday, Pat Labat, the Fulton County Sheriff, announced that if former President Donald Trump were to be indicted in connection to the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia, then he would be required to take a mugshot.

Labat stated that they were preparing for a possible indictment against Trump and that if the former President is indicted then they are going to require both a mug shot and his fingerprints following an indictment. As he told WSBTV, unless he is instructed otherwise, his department is going to follow their normal practices, which include taking a mugshot regardless of someone’s status.

If Trump is indicted in Georgia, it is going to be his fourth indictment. He was previously indicted in New York in connection to a hush money payment he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels on charges of falsifying business records and he was federally indicted twice. His federal indictments relate to one case of allegedly mishandling classified documents and one connected to his attempts to remain in office following his loss in the 2020 presidential election.

In all three of the indictments so far Trump has not been required to take a mugshot and he has not been handcuffed. He has also traveled to the courthouse using his motorcade and willingly submitted himself to authorities.

Fulton County DA Fani Willis has been investigating Trump’s attempts to overturn the state election results in 2020 since 2021. The case was first launched after it was revealed that Trump had called Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia Secretary of State, to instruct him to “find” the required votes for the election results to be overturned.
