(FeaturedNews.com) – House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) recently disclosed that the committee’s investigation into Hunter Biden and his business is only the “beginning” and that he is looking to put the White House under pressure as President Biden is preparing to launch his reelection campaign. Comer and his committee are focused on trying to find out whether Hunter Biden’s business dealings at all may have been connected to President Biden in any way.

Previous investigations have shown that there was no connection to the president, but Comer believes that their probe is going to prove otherwise. During an appearance on Fox News recently, Comer said that they knew that during Biden’s time as vice President during the Obama administration, he had made a number of trips to China and that his son and some of his associates had joined on those trips.

In the past few weeks, Comer has given a number of interviews discussing the probe. Regarding the trips to China specifically, he said that “They met in different places with some of these people that the president claimed he never met with.” From this, Comer has deducted that the President has not been entirely truthful about his actions while serving as vice president.

The Treasury Department has also given the Oversight Committee access to financial reports that relate to the business that Hunter Biden and his associates have been conducting. White House allies have widely claimed that the probe is a political stunt that is seeking to damage president Biden’s chances of reelection in 2024.
