VIDEO: Hooters Customer Does What to Waitress?

A Hooters customer allegedly took photos of women in the establishment without their permission. Lydia P. Warren, a Hooters server and mixed martial artist in New Mexico, decided that the man needed a taste of his own medicine which is why she turned her camera on him. The video has been viewed 1.3 million times on TikTok.

In the video, Warren begins by saying that the guy came in and began taking photos. She then turned the camera to the man who was sitting at the bar and started zooming in. The man was wearing a red shirt and a white cap. At one point he turned to face Warren’s lens.

The video was captioned, “Now everyone feels weird,” with the hashtags “Do better” and “Public shame.”

Warren’s video received an array of positive comments and support. Some even said that they should try finding the man’s wife.

Sexual Harassment is typical in the restaurant industry as many have to endure inappropriate comments as they depend on the customers tipping well. According to data though the level of harassment grew even worse during the COVID-19 pandemic. This data was published by the nonprofit One Fair Wage.

According to a 2021 survey from Social Science Research Solutions (SRSS), 71 percent of women restaurant workers have said that they have been harassed while working at least once.
