(FeaturedNews.com) – Last Saturday during a Benedictine College commencement speech, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker slammed President Biden for his leadership and policies on several key issues including the pandemic, gender ideology, and abortion.
Butker argued in his speech at the Catholic liberal arts college that in recent years all of the negative parts of society are the result of bad leadership. He added that leaders needed to “stay in their lanes.” As he told the crowd of graduates, the coronavirus had been a big part of their formative years which is not a unique experience. He added that bad policies on IVF, abortion, euthanasia, and a degeneration of cultural values have all negatively impacted their lives.
He continued by pointing out that the leader of their country was someone who publicly claimed to be Catholic, and yet at the same time was “delusional” as he had made the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally. Biden is the second U.S. president to have been Catholic, and during his time in office, he has had a hard time balancing his party’s position on abortion and his faith.
President Biden is known to frequently attend evening mass on Saturday either in Washington, D.C. or in Wilmington, Del. The White House has also repeatedly claimed that for Biden his faith is deeply personal.
Biden has in the past stated that he is not “big on” abortion but that he supports Roe v. Wade and the reproductive rights that had been granted by the landmark case.
The NFL has since “distanced” itself from Butker.
