Kim Jong Un May Finally Be Punished for These Unspeakable Crimes

(FeaturedNews.com) – North Korea is far from being a free country where citizens experience great liberties and rights. Still, there are expectations that the leaders won’t go out of their way to abuse the people. A recent report by the International Bar Association’s (IBA) War Crimes Committee shows evidence that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and other officials have committed serious offenses against their people.

The inquiry, which was conducted in cooperation with the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea (HRNK), brings to light information concluding that Kim Jong-un and other leaders may be responsible for severe humanitarian crimes. It took two years for the group to put the report together. The organization aimed to increase awareness of what was happening in the nation, and to explore the legal possibilities for holding officials accountable.

During the inquiry, the groups listened to testimony from experts and those who had escaped the North Korean detention centers. They saw evidence of forced abortions, rapes, executions, food deprivation, starvation, torture, forced labor, and other acts targeting Christians and inmates who were not fully of Korean ethnicity.

The organizations concluded officials broke and continue to defy Article 7 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. They urged immediate action to investigate and prosecute the officials responsible.
