(FeaturedNews.com) – This week the Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis kicked off the state fair in Tampa, Florida, while taking the time to enjoy the fair with his family.
DeSantis was joined in the outing by First Lady Casey DeSantis, and two children, two-year-old daughter Mamie and four-year-old son Mason. His six-year-old daughter did not join the family on the outing.
The Florida governor took to Twitter to state that the Florida State Fair is an opportunity for all Floridians to be brought together and “thank farmers for their hard work.” He added that he was “glad to be able to kick it off this year!”
DeSantis is known for dropping in on small businesses, especially after the state reopened following the first few months of the pandemic. He has also frequently spoken about the state’s economic success.
Currently, many are speculating that DeSantis is preparing to launch a presidential campaign in 2024. The Florida governor is popular with Republicans across the country and is quickly rising in the polls.
In fact, according to most current polls, he is either tied or leading against former President Donald Trump in a potential GOP primary matchup. However, this does not necessarily mean that DeSantis will choose to place a bid on the White House.
