Man Saves Stranger a Fortune at Gas Station
An unattended vehicle was left in a gas station. The car’s tank was overflowing until a man approached it and stopped it. The entire incident was captured on video and posted on TikTok.
The video was captioned, “People just don’t think #gas #easywithadobeexpress #gasstation #lol #gooddeed #smh #wow #payattention,” and has amassed around 4.8 million times since it was first posted on April 6.
At the time of the video being filmed, the average price of a gallon was $4.12. Diesel was at $5.07 a gallon.
Gas prices increased following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since then, the prices have declined, even though they are still higher than they were a year ago.
The 30-second video was posted by TikTok @lifeis2enjoy, and it started while the man was still in his truck. As he approached another vehicle, he could hear liquid rushing out. That’s when he saw a Toyota Prius with the fuel nozzle still attached. The gas had overflowed the tank and was now rushing onto the ground.
The vehicle had been left unattended as the owner of the car seemed to have gone inside the gas station and was drinking coffee with his friends. In general, you are not supposed to leave the gas pump unattended. The truck driver then made a joke about both him and the Prius owner paying a lot of money for gas.
Before returning to his truck, he also stopped the gas pump from spilling any more gas.
