(FeaturedNews.com) – On Thursday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador threatened that he would launch an “information campaign” pushing for Mexicans and Hispanics to not vote for Republicans unless there is a change in how the GOP treats his county. This threat of trying to interfere with the U.S. election comes after the U.S. push for action across the border.

As the Mexican President said, they would be starting the campaign from that day on and they would tell Hispanics to not vote for Republicans. He added that he would tell them about how the GOP’s stance and initiative is “an offense against the people of Mexico.”

He added that if they do not change their stance and stop using Mexico as part of “their propaganda, electoral, and political purposes,” then they would push for Hispanics to not vote in favor of the GOP.

Lopez Obrador specifically stated that he would be trying to ensure that “not one vote” goes to Republicans from Mexicans and Hispanics.

Republican lawmakers have been pushing for military action in order to stop the smuggling of fentanyl into the U.S. On Wednesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., specifically said that the U.S. should unleash its “fury and might” on Mexican drug cartels so that they can completely “destroy their business model.” He added that decisive action was imperative for the security of the United States. Graham also noted that he was planning on introducing legislation that would designate Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs) and would provide the U.S. with the authorization necessary to use military force in Mexico so as to obliterate the drug network.
