Mystery ASSASSINATION – Mitt Romney Calls For Action
(FeaturedNews.com) – American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh died during an Israeli military raid in April while reporting for Al Jazeera. Now, Senators Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Jon Ossoff (D-GA) want an inquiry into her death. They urged the State Department to help ensure justice in her case in a letter they sent to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on June 6.
The senators told Blinken that the killing of the journalist, who was “reporting in a conflict zone,” was unacceptable. They stated that reporters need to be able to bring news from these high-risk areas to ensure transparency throughout the world, and the United States shouldn’t allow their deaths to occur without serious repercussions. Romney and Ossoff asked for a “full and transparent investigation” with updates provided within 30 days of the letter.

The senators aren’t alone in their request. During a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Joe Biden asked for a “thorough investigation” into Abu Akleh’s death, calling the prosecution of those who kill journalists “of paramount importance.”
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett claimed authorities in his country are also looking into the matter. He suggested Palestinian military forces were responsible for the reporter’s death despite eyewitness accounts saying the troops were Israeli.
