(FetaturedNews.com) – Recent reports have noted that Jayson Tatum has made a five-year agreement with the Boston Celtics on a $314 million supermax extension with a player option. This is the largest NBA contract in history and came after Tatum’s first career NBA title.

The #0 star player of the Bolton Celtics was instrumental in the team beating the Dallas Mavericks in five games, which allowed them to win their first championship since 2008. During the series, Tatum had an average of 22.2 points, 7.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds. However, the Finals MVP award went to Jaylen Brown.

Last year, Brown had received a record extension by the group, who has been pairing with Tatum exceptionally well. Following his recent performance Tatum was given the NBA extension that he has earned.

In 2017, Tatum was drafted from Duke as third overall by the Celtics. In his entire career, he has averaged 23.1 points, 3.5 assists, and 7.2 rebounds per game. He has a 46 percent field goal rate across the 513 games he has been in. In the past three seasons, he has finished in the MVP voting top six.

The Celtics have reportedly agreed also on a deal with guard Derrick White, whose average is 15.2 points while shooting. Last season White had started in all 73 games and had benefited from joining the team.

In the last five seasons, the Celtics have reached the Eastern Conference Finals four times, while they managed to win twice. They are likely going to be playoff contenders for years to come based on their recent contracts.
