Pelosi Caught On Video Breaking The Law
California Highway Patrol (CHP) has officially released both videos and photos from the night of May 28 when Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was involved in a driving incident. He has pleaded guilty to the DUI charges as of today.
The video, which many had been waiting to see, shows Pelosi having slurred speech, and can be seen as being intoxicated as the police perform a sobriety test.
According to the Fox News Digital report, both Pelosi’s 2021 Porsche and the other driver’s 2014 Jeep got majorly damaged by the incident. Pelosi was found at the intersection of California Route 29 and Oakville Cross Road still sitting in his car’s driver’s seat.
While Pelosi’s words can’t be easily discerned at the start of the video, he clearly states that he had had both a glass of champagne and wine earlier that evening. He says that he had started drinking around 7 p.m. but had stopped around an hour later. This would have been 2 hours before the incident which led to him going to the hospital, the local CHP office, and the county jail. According to investigators, his blood-alcohol levels were at 0.082%.
Photos show both the injuries sustained by Pelosi as well as the damage to the two cars. The crash at 10:17 p.m. on May 28 was called in by a 911 caller, who reported the incident which took place around 5 miles from Pelosi’s vineyard. CalFire medics and Napa deputies were the first responders on the scene, while the California Highway Patrol followed soon after to handle the incident.
