(FeaturedNews.com) – A police officer in Michigan saved the day by assisting a pregnant driver involved in a car wreck delivering one of her DooDasher deliveries in Detroit.

Officers were quick to reach the scene of the car crash, but instead of ignoring the groceries that were within the vehicle Sterling Heights Police Lieutenant David Allen decided to assist mother-to-be, Bryanna Fantozzi, deliver the items.

Fantozzi, who is six months pregnant, was making a DoorDash delivery when she and her young daughter got into a car accident on the icy road. Fantozzi needed to complete the delivery, but her Ford Fusion was no longer in a condition to be taken on the road following the accident. That is when she asked the on-duty officers if they could assist her with finishing the delivery.

The incident was captured on the officer’s video camera. Allen was quick to reply positively to the question and said that they would take care of it and that he was hoping that she would get a good review. Following that Allen and his partner took the groceries and the order from Texas Roadhouse and made the delivery that Fantozzi had been trying to finish.

While on “Fox & Friends,” Allen said that this was not something “spectacular on our end” and that more than anything he had just been surprised by the request.
