(FeaturedNews.com) – Last month, former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley was targeted in a ‘swatting incident’ as authorities were called to respond to a fake emergency in her home. Authorities reached Haley’s home after a man had claimed that he had shot a woman and had threatened to harm himself while in Haley’s home.

The “swatting” incident had previously been unreported at a time when there had been an overall increase in bomb scares and violent threats against members of government, election officials, and members of the judiciary administration. The increase in the level of threats has occurred since 2020, with law enforcement being alarmed about the possible effects of the increase ahead of the United States presidential contest.

In the last two months, swatting incidents have increased against both enemies and allies of former President Donald Trump who is currently in the middle of his third presidential campaign in an effort to return to the White House in 2024. Those targeted in these incidents include Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, who had blocked Trump from appearing on her state’s primary ballot. Many of the judges and at least one of the prosecutors involved in the cases against Trump have been targeted, while there have also been swatting attempts against U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Green.

The incident against Haley in particular, who is the last Republican challenger left in the 2024 primary race against Trump occurred on Dec. 30.

Haley’s campaign has refused to make any public statement regarding the incident.
