(FeaturedNews.com) – On Tuesday, during the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Vladimir Putin the President of Russia stated that the recent indictments and arrest of former President Donald Trump was showing how rotten the American system was.
As he said, regarding the persecution of Trump it was an example of how rotten the American system was, and argued that the persecution was politically motivated by his rival. He added that this is also evidence of who they are fighting, which during Soviet times was referred to as “’the bestial face of American capitalism.'”
Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney recently charged Trump with one count of violating the state’s RICO act as well as several other criminal counts for criminal conspiracy, making false statements, filing false documents and criminal solicitation. Trump has maintained his innocence and has pleaded not guilty on all counts in both this indictment and his three other unrelated indictments.
Putin has developed a reputation for attacking and even getting rid of his political rivals throughout his political career. However, the Russian government has never acknowledged that many of Putin’s political enemies have been assassinated. The Kremlin has also not put a lot of effort into covering their tracks.
Alexei Navalny, a vocal critic of Putin is currently serving 30 years in a penal colony east of Moscow. Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Wagner Group mercenary leader who headed a coup against the Russian President was also killed while on an airplane that exploded while traveling through the country’s airspace. Putin has claimed to not be involved in the disaster.
