(FeaturedNews.com) – Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) had some harsh words for Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 3 during an interview with Trey Gowdy on Fox News. The congresswoman pulled no punches, calling Putin an “authoritarian war criminal.” She spoke passionately about the need to end Putin’s campaign in Ukraine, saying he must be held accountable for his actions.
The New York lawmaker went on to discuss what she and other lawmakers want to see happen, which is more support for the Ukrainian people and military. She said the US needs to send anti-tank, anti-aircraft, and anti-ship weapons to the embattled nation, along with humanitarian supplies.

Stefanik doesn’t believe her government is on the ball concerning Ukraine. She made it abundantly clear that the bulk of the blame for the Ukrainian people’s lack of aid in the early days was due to inaction from the Biden administration. According to the congresswoman, had the Ukrainians been well equipped prior to the invasion rather than waiting until their country was under fire to send weapons and aid, history would tell a very different version of the Russian advance.
