Republicans Looking to Impeach Joe Biden

While Republicans are expected to win the House with a smaller majority than they had hoped for, they will proceed with their plans to use their position to have better oversight, pass bills, and even give the Biden administration some grief.

Currently, there is going to be a divided government, with the Democrats having control of the White House and Senate. This will mean that the legislative attempts made by House Republicans will often be blocked. Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California, who is expected to become the House Speaker, has also often said that he would be looking into launching investigations into the Biden administration and even into Biden’s family.

However, considering their extremely narrow majority, House Republicans will have a lot of things to deal with, especially if they want to retain that majority while trying to get President Joe Biden impeached.

McCarthy, in a speech given to his new leadership team, said that this would be a new era in which the Democrats in Washington would need to be checked and kept in order. This statement was after he won the party’s nomination for House Speaker.

Investigations are set to be a key part of the new Congress, with investigations on the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic and the politicization of the FBI and Justice Department being only some of the topics that will be looked into. However, the most highly anticipated investigation that will be launched by the Republicans concerns Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and his business dealings.

This particular investigation could also come to hunt the president if he decides to seek reelection, as the Republicans will have two years to launch their full investigation and yield results.
