Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel has criticized President Biden for choosing to visit the southern border, claiming that the President is only making the trip as a “photo op.” McDaniel also noted that the only reason the President is choosing to visit the border now is that the influx of immigrants and crisis at the border has become a “political liability.”
McDaniel spoke to Fox News Digital while traveling to Mission, Texas. In the border town, she would meet a number of local community leaders and local media to discuss how the constant stream of illegal immigrants has led to the resources that the community possesses being strained.
The RNC chairwoman’s visit to the border coincides with Biden’s visit to El Paso, Texas which is approximately 800 miles northwest of Mission. Biden during his border visit is set to meet with Border Patrol agents in order to gain a better understanding of the border crisis.
McDaniel during her interview said that Biden has clearly shown that he does not care about the “real problems that Americans are facing.” She added that this is just a three-hour photo op to support his political campaign, instead of a visit that will focus on how the Biden administration’s policies have caused problems in these areas.
As she claimed, it was necessary for people to start holding Biden accountable as currently, he is only offering empty rhetoric instead of any actual solutions that would help solve the problems that the country is facing. She concluded that the Biden administration has repeatedly been able to get away with pretending to take action and do things that they are actually not doing.
