(FeaturedNews.com) – When Taylor Swift was 19-year-old she was awarded an MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video. While accepting her award for “You Belong With Me” on Sept. 13, 2009, she was interrupted by rapper Kanye West who argued that Beyoncé should have won the award for “Single Ladies” which he described as one of the best videos of all time.
The entire incident appeared to have rattled Swift, who appears to still hold on to what happened almost 15 years later.
This past weekend Swift attended the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. The team managed to win the game in overtime, 25-22, giving them their second consecutive title. The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas included a number of A-listers however according to reports West, who was originally meant to be one of the attendees, had not been there.
Former NFL star Brandon Marshall claimed in the “I Am Athlete” podcast that it had been Swift who was responsible for West not getting in the stadium. He alleged that Kaney West had arrived in Las Vegas and had bought a ticket right in front of the booth that Taylor Swift would be in. Swift had proceeded to make a couple of calls and get West off the stadium. He added that West had attempted to use his celebrity status in order to be allowed to stay but had not managed to do so.
West had previously referred to the VMA incident in his song “Famous” which was released in 2016. In the song, he claimed that he felt there was still a possibility that he would have sex with Swift as he had “made that b—- famous.”
