(FeaturedNews.com) – “The Simpsons” writer Al Jean took to the social media platform X to brag about having predicted Kamala Harris as president during the 11th season of the show, which had aired 24 years ago. In his post, he shared a photo of Lisa Simpson wearing a Harris-like purple pantsuit along with a photo of Harris in a similar outfit.
Jean argued that this was one of the Simpsons predictions that he was proud to have been a part of.
The prediction had been part of episode 17 of the 11th season during which Bart Simpson travels to the White House where Trump is the United States president. The older sibling then sees his sister Lisa, who is the “first straight female president” of the United States. In the episode, Lisa noted that she inherited a country that is broke from Trump.
Millhouse Van Houten who is Lisa’s secretary in the scene proceeds to tell her that the last administration had decided to invest in the country’s children which ended up being a big mistake. In the skit, it is suggested that the balanced breakfast program for kids had resulted in a generation of strong super criminals being created.
The episode aired around 16 years before Donald Trump became the U.S. president.
In 2016 the writer of the episode Dan Greaney told “The Hollywood Reporter” that he had wanted the storyline to be a “warning” to the country. At the time he had pointed out that after Lisa became president the country was not in a good condition because of the Trump administration. He added that the problems in the country had become the worst possible which is why they had a Trump presidency.
