(FeaturedNews.com) – ‘The View’ co-host Sara Haines claimed that she had hidden from her child that former President Donald Trump was the U.S. president as she did not believe that he was a good role model. During a segment of the show, she talked positively about Taylor Swift’s efforts to empower young voters and contrasted that with Trump’s presidency.
In recent weeks, Swift has made national headlines for her relationship with Super Bowl-bound Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Many conservatives have also expressed worries about the possibility of Swift taking advantage of her celebrity status in order to get more voters to support President Biden.
Co-host Sunny Hostin argued that the conservatives did need to be slightly concerned about Swift. She then pointed out that the singer had endorsed Biden in the presidential election in 2020. As she pointed out Swift who has 279 million followers on Instagram had put out a post last year which resulted in 35,000 new voter registration in Texas.
Whoopi Goldberg pointed out though that everyone had the right to push people to vote and that every American has that right.
Joy Behar continued on by arguing that the more people who end up voting the fewer people vote for the right in the country.
Sara Haines also pointed out that the Republicans have not managed to win the popular vote in decades and that they have not gotten the popular vote since 2000 or 2004. She added that this was the reason that the Republicans did not want to have any more voters.
