(FeaturedNews.com) – On Monday, the co-hosts of the view discussed whether there should be a debate between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, expressing concerns about both giving Trump a platform, as well as the potential gaffes that Biden might make.

During the discussion, Sara Haines claimed that Biden was going to lose the debate if he made any gaffes but that this was not the case for former President Trump. Alyssa Farah-Griffin however pointed out that it was important for the two men to debate, and that during the debate it would be particularly important for them to fact-check the information. She also argued that Trump’s team was going to focus even more on the mental decline and age argument if Biden refused to debate him.

Haines disagreed with that point and argued that it was important for the two men to debate. She added that the problem with Trump is that he gaslights, overtalks and a fact checker would be necessary. She added that she did not believe that Biden needed to debate as the former president has not done anything to participate in the country’s democracy since he lost the presidential race.

Co-host Joy Behar also joined the discussion pointing out that presidential debates were not actually very influential on presidential elections and that the debate would most likely just end up being a repetition of the 2020 presidential election. She added that she does not need someone who is facing 91 charges on stage as it would legitimize him.
