(FeaturedNews.com) – On Friday, Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Golden State Warriors had a call with Vice President Kamala Harris during which they discussed with students gun violence prevention and the dangers of a second Trump administration.

During the call, Kerr pointed out that the majority of Americans, regardless of their political party and affiliation, are in agreement regarding common sense gun safety measures. This included supporting universal background checks, which they now know former President Donald Trump would not try to get some legislation passed.

Kerr had made headlines following the Uvalde school shooting in Texas in 2022 after he had called for lawmakers to push for gun protection measures and background checks. In the 1980s Kerr had lost his father who had been shot and killed.

The NBA coach also spoke positively about the reelection bid of President Biden and Harris arguing that there was no question about who would have his vote in the upcoming election. He proceeded to praise their leadership on gun violence prevention.

This week the Biden administration has been involved in a number of events relating to National Gun Violence Awareness Day, which is celebrated annually on the first Friday in June.

Following the student leaders’ remarks on Friday, Harris also appeared on-screen during the virtual call where she touted the work of the administration on gun violence prevention. She continued by warning about the dangers of a possible second Trump administration. She added that the choice was clear as Trump is going to bow down to the NRA whereas Biden and Harris stand up to the organization.
