(FeaturedNews.com) – On Saturday, during his campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump mocked the Democrats for having dumped President Joe Biden and his failed push of Trump being a threat to democracy.
Trump’s speech was aired live in its entirety on Newsmax2 and Newsmax, where he noted that the Democrats currently have a number of problems, including being uncertain of who their presidential candidate is. He added that the GOP also does not know who the Democratic candidate is going to be which is a problem, but hopefully, they would soon work it out.
Trump argued that this is interesting as Biden was the person who had gone out and received votes, which is the democratic process, and yet they now wanted to take that away from him.
Trump argued that the Democrats were essentially “throwing out” the results of the close to 50 Democratic primary elections. According to some reports the Democrats are looking to hold an open virtual nomination early next month before the start of the Democratic National Convention. Trump’s speech had occurred before Biden’s announcement that he would be dropping out of the presidential race in 2024.
Biden’s decision comes following his weak performance at the first presidential debate last month which led to many Democrats pushing for him to resign.
Trump in his remarks also spoke about the failed assassination attempt against him arguing that he had taken a “bullet for democracy.” He noted that since then the GOP has been more united and that they are moving forward towards the election with more determination.
