(FeaturedNews.com) – Former President Donald Trump took Hillary Clinton to court over her part in the Russian scandal accusations. He’s now filed a motion for the judge in the case to step down. US District Court Judge Donald Middlebrooks was an appointee of Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, in 1997.
Former President Donald Trump wants to remove the federal judge assigned to his lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and others tied to the so-called "Russiagate" controversy.

The Trump legal team says the connection between the Clintons and the judge raises questions about his ability to be fair on the case. The team feels it is a conflict of interest and says it’s reasonable to believe any ruling Middlebrooks makes in the lawsuit could be biased.
In addition, the team cites federal law, which requires a judge to recuse his or herself if they feel they cannot be impartial in a preceding. While they are unsure about the ties between the judge and Clinton, the attorneys think the implication that some relationship exists is enough to urge the Middlebrooks to step down.
Trump is suing Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and others he said participated in trying to connect his 2016 presidential campaign to Russia. Trump alleges the defendants conspired to make false accusations against him about illegal collusion. He is seeking $74 million in damages.
