(FeaturedNews.com) – Former President Donald Trump was one of the many people who mocked Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday for the many technical issues that occurred during his 2024 presidential campaign launch on Twitter.
Trump quickly took to his social media platform Truth Social to claim that his “Red Button” was “bigger, better, stronger” and more importantly “working” which was something that DeSantis’ was not. He then proceeded to post on his Truth Social account a video of him at a rally interspersed with a shot from Elon Musk’s account on Twitter Spaces. A voice in the background of the video could be heard saying “We are kind of melting the servers” while Trump had added the caption “Preparing to Launch.”
Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for Trump’s MAGA Inc. PAC, also took to Twitter to call DeSantis’ campaign launch a “historic train wreck.”
She was not the only one to join the mockery. Even President Joe Biden posted on Twitter stating “This link works” along with a link to his campaign donation page.
The Democratic National Committee also commented on the unsuccessful launch, while spokesperson Ammar Moussa stated that in “true Ron DeSantis fashion” the campaign launch was not “ready for primetime.”
The event was scheduled to start at 6 p.m. EDT, however, more than 20 minutes later and DeSantis was still unable to speak because of the audio echoing and crashing. Twitter CEO Elon Musk attributed the system failure to the hundreds of thousands of listeners who had entered the room.
