(FeaturedNews.com) – In a recent post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump pushed for Republicans in Congress to either move ahead with an Impeachment ‘Inquiry’ into President Biden or to “fade into oblivion.”
As Trump pointed out, he has so far been indicted four times “over nothing,” and yet the Republicans in Congress have been discussing a possible impeachment for Biden without moving ahead. He then claimed that an inquiry would not even be necessary in Biden’s case because he had clearly been bribed and then paid other people one billion dollars in Ukraine in order to get one prosecutor fired.
In a subsequent post, Trump stated that in his case he had been impeached twice and there had not even been an inquiry, but rather just an impeachment proceeding that started immediately without any studying, meetings, or delays.
While House Republicans have publicly stated that they were considering opening an impeachment inquiry into the President, and some members have even indicated that they are ready to bring forward articles, there have so far not been any moves towards starting the impeachment of President Biden.
Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) recently stated that the House would be starting the impeachment inquiry when they reconvened in September. The investigation into the foreign business activities of President Biden and his family has been led by the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, and its chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.). While in the August recess, the committee released a number of the interview transcripts and sent out several information requests.
