Donald Trump Jr. during a speech at AmericaFest in Phoenix, said that the lift critics are always putting the spotlight on “lunatic” conservatives. The son of former President Donald Trump joined a number of other GOP members, including Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert and conservative commentator Candace Owens for the four-day event.
AmericaFest, originally founded by conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was hosted by the right-wing organization Turning Point USA.
When Donald Trump Jr. took the stage, there were loud cheers from the crowd. Early in his speech, he talked about how previously he had been labeled a “conspiracy theorist” for claiming that Twitter had been “manipulating the algorithm.”
Earlier this month, Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk, along with independent journalists, released a number of documents dubbed the “Twitter Files” which confirmed that prior to its purchase by Musk Twitter had been censoring certain content.
Trump Jr. then claimed that critics had been trying to cancel him because he is an “effective communicator.”
He added that he is shocked to see that those who are willing to fight against the “insanity that we are up against” are the ones being “shut down”. He continued to say that the left is working hard to highlight the “lunatics” on the far right.
By the end of his speech, Trump Jr. had the crowd loudly clapping.
