(FeaturedNews.com) – Former President Donald Trump in his post on his social media platform Truth Social on Monday offered to provide CBS News an interview that they could air ahead of Super Bowl LVIII this weekend following President Joe Biden’s decision to decline the traditional sit-down.

Trump, who is the front-runner for the 2024 Republican nomination, argued in his post that Biden had announced that he had declined the “big Super Bowl interview.” He added that this was a great decision for the President who was unable to put together two sentences. He then pointed out that he would be happy replacing him and that it would result in “RATINGS GOLD!”

Over the weekend CBS confirmed that The White House had declined to have Biden give an interview right before the big game. Previous sitting presidents had usually participated in an interview with the network that was selected to broadcast the Super Bowl. However, this is a tradition that Trump and Biden had both refused to participate in.

Biden had declined last year to sit down with Fox News for an interview, while Trump had also opted not to have an interview in 2018 with NBC.

The Super Bowl will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs and will be watched by millions of people not just in the United States but also around the world.
