(FeaturedNews.com) – Trump, during an interview on “Life, Liberty & Levin,” stated that he used to have a cordial relationship with the 42nd president and his wife and had even frequently exchanged letters with Clinton.
Trump further pointed out that the Clintons had been guests at his 2005 wedding to Melania Trump. Other guests at the wedding included left-wing pundit Chris Matthews, as well as Billy Joel, Tony Bennett, former Republican Gov. George Pataki, and former Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
According to Trump’s statements, Bill Clinton also played at Trump National Golf Club Westchester regularly. Trump specifically said that Clinton “loved that course” and he was often playing there. He even praised the former president stating that “he loves playing golf, and he was… better than people think… he’s got a certain athleticism, actually.”
Trump also recalled that he had played a few rounds of golf with Bill Clinton before the two would retire to the clubhouse to have long conversations about politics. Trump added that this was before he ever thought “in terms of politics for myself.”
He then proceeded to claim that Hillary Clinton had made a big mistake by not using Bill Clinton when she was running against Trump in the 2016 presidential election. He specifically noted that Bill Clinton was a “natural politician” and that he could have been an “unbelievable weapon” that they never used. He then recalled how Hillary Clinton had not visited Wisconsin during the 2016 race, thinking she was guaranteed to win that state. She also did not visit Michigan right before the election.
Trump ended up winning both Wisconsin and Michigan in the end.
